Zara McCallion - Head Girl

As Head Girl of St. Brigid’s College, I take on a variety of responsibilities each day, including promoting and practicing our school’s core values of Care, Courtesy, Respect, and Responsibility. My goal is to ensure that every pupil feels supported and that our school fosters a welcoming, uplifting environment.

At A-level, I am studying English Literature, Life and Health Sciences, and Technology and Design, subjects that I thoroughly enjoy. The supportive atmosphere created by the staff and students makes me look forward to each school day. Through my studies, I have developed essential life skills, such as time management, commitment, and independence, qualities that St. Brigid’s College has instilled in me over the past seven years. These skills will stay with me long after my time at the school.

Since my first day in Year 8, I have experienced nothing but kindness and support from everyone I’ve encountered. This constant encouragement has driven me to reach my fullest potential. As I approach my final year at St. Brigid’s College, I feel a deep sense of sadness, but I also reflect with pride on the memories, achievements, and experiences that I will cherish forever.

In my role as Head Girl, my aim is to be a successful role model, offer a helping hand to anyone who may need it, and inspire pupils to strive for their own goals.

Marcas O Mianáin – Head Boy

Is mise príomhbhuachaill  Choláiste Bhríde faoi láthair. Is iad Reiligiún, Gaeilge agus Corpoidheachas na hábhair a bhfuil mé ag stáidéar. Tá an-suim agam sa dlí agus tabharfaidh na ábhair seo an seans dom dlí a dhéanamh ag an ollscoil an bhliain seo chugainn. D’fhreastal mise  ar Aonad na Gaeilge atá sa scoil. Bhain mise an-tairbhe as, go háirithe le mo GCSE Gaeilge agus m’Ard leibhéal Gaeilge. Thug an t-aonad an seans  dom feabhas a chur ar mo chuid gaeilge agus molaim do dhalta ar bith i nGaelscoil freastail ar Choláiste Bhríde, mar bainfaidh tú tairbhe as an mheascán idir na ranganna atá tríd an béarla is tríd an Ghaeilge cosúil liomsa. Tá mo thaithí istigh sa scoil seo den chéad scoth, bíonn na múinteoirí i gcónaí ansin le cuidiú is cuma cén rud atá ann ach go príomha le obair scoile. Tá a fhios agam nach bhfaighinn na grádanna céanna gan na múinteoirí agus iad ag fanacht ina dhiaidh am scoile le cuidiú liom agus leis na háiseanna a thug siad dom fosta. Tá mé an-bhuíoch as a bheith i mo phríomhbhuachaill. Is onóir oll-mhór é agus tugann sé deis dom tabhairt ar ais don scoil agus le hinis do dhaoine cé comh iontach is atá an scoil. Is teaghlach muid ag fás le chéile.

Elle Collett - Deputy Head Girl

As Deputy Head Girl at St Brigid's College, I embrace the school's core values of Care, Courtesy, Respect, and Responsibility, ensuring that I embody these principles by supporting and guiding the younger pupils. I take great pride in contributing to the positive and inclusive atmosphere that defines our school community.

I am currently studying Health and Social Care, Religious Education, and IT, all of which I am passionate about. My ambition is to study Special Needs Teaching at Queen's University next year.

St Brigid's College has helped shape me into the person I am today. Its impact extends far beyond the school, touching the wider community through its ethos, which I am honoured to uphold in my role as Deputy Head Girl. The support and guidance I have received from the staff over the past seven years have been instrumental in my personal development and guidance.

St Brigid's College is more than just a school to me—it is a second family. The experiences I have had here have enriched my life and laid the foundation for my future, and I will forever cherish my time at this school.

Barra Murphy – Deputy Head Boy

As Deputy Head Boy of St. Brigid's College/Coláiste Bhríde, I am immensely proud to have been entrusted with this role. One of my key responsibilities is to ensure that the school's ethos is upheld, not only within the school but also in the wider community. I strive to make sure that our core values are not just words but principles that shape every school day.

I am currently studying A-Levels in English Literature, Religious Studies, and Irish, which are equipping me with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications to pursue a teaching career at Queen’s University. Each day, I work to provide leadership and foster a positive, enjoyable environment for all pupils, and I am deeply honoured to contribute to a school that has given me so much.

My personal experience at St. Brigid’s College has been one of gratitude and growth. The opportunities I have received here have been exceptional, and I will carry these memories with me for the rest of my life. As I approach my final year, I know it will be difficult to say goodbye, but I am confident that the knowledge, skills, and experiences I have gained at St. Brigid’s will serve me well as I move on to third-level education and beyond.
